Woah, this one slipped through the net. Sorry about that.

Anyway, at the NAMM show this year we managed to catch up with Justin Owen from Abstract Data. Who showed us their new offerings.

First up it was the Octocontroller which Justin has called their most ambitious module to date. Built in collaboration with Paul Soulsby of Soulsby synth, the Octocontroller is designed to provide a complete, synchronized control system for triggering and modulation without the need for a DAW. In fact the patch you can hear at the beginning of the video is competely run from the Octocontroller.

Then we get a look at the new VC AHDSR/AHD module giving a complete and comprehensive VC envelope.

Justin let us hear their tri-core shaping VCO, with waveshaping controls for building interesting waveforms. The VCO has sine/triangle/ramp outputs, but with the shaping controls you get some almost pulse width type control, which is all obviously under voltage control. I thought this sounded great!

And last but not least get a look at their other two new modules the mixer/attenuator, and the triple VCA wrapped up in only 4HP!
