Fluid Audio says that, designed for recording studios, gaming, home theaters and more, their F8S active subwoofer delivers professional sound quality. Here is the rest of what they have to say about it...

Many types of music benefit from bass extension – from Hip-Hop, to House, to Rock.  Being able to hear your mix with this bass extension is critical to accurately creating your music.  The F8S subwoofer allows you to hear every detail down to 30Hz – and in a compact size.

Mix Engineers want the confidence to know that their mixes translate well on all types of systems.  That is why we included a standby footswitch.  With a click of the included foot pedal, you can turn the bass on or off, and audition you mix with bass extension and without.

The F8S also has two built-in EQ settings that allow for a more conventional Flat response, as well as a "Punch" setting that is perfect for Dance or other mid-bass heavy music.

"With the inherent problems of long frequency lengths of bass notes, sometimes it be difficult get a good punchy sound out of subwoofer in a studio.  The Punch switch on the F8S accentuates higher bass frequencies and allows a quick EQ change to the bass output – without using any outboard processing." Says Kevin Zuccaro, the ears behind the Fluid Audio brand and it's owner.

For further flexibility, the F8S has a variable phase adjustment to fine tune the phase for optimal matching to your L/R monitors (0-180 degrees), a variable low pass crossover filter control (50-200Hz) and a 80Hz high pass filter (used with foot switch) for satellite connections.

Size matters, and that is why the F8S is as compact as possible, and with a front firing port to make it easy to put into tight places.
The F8S features an 8-inch composite paper cone driver with a high temperature voice coil. As with all in the Fader Series, it has a front baffle mounted fader volume control for easy access as well as an internal amplifier standby mode to conserve energy.

The rear panel supports balanced XLR and ¼" TRS balanced/unbalanced and RCA unbalanced inputs as well as XLR balanced and ¼" balanced/unbalanced outputs.

Protection features include RF interference, output current limiting, over-temperature, turn-on/off transient, subsonic filter protection and external main fuse.

The F8S delivers up to 105dB SPL (maximum continuous), Frequency response is rated at 30Hz to 200 kHz. It's powered by a 200W Class-D switching amplifier.

Fluid Audio will unveil the F8S in Hall E, Booth 1171 at the 2015 NAMM Show, January 22-25 in Anaheim, California.
