Fluid Audio tells us that, designed for music enthusiasts, gamers, home theater, and personal studios, their C5BT and BT5 active speakers deliver professional sound quality that let you hear your music the way it was meant to be heard...with clear highs, great bass and accurate imaging. They say that, complete with Bluetooth audio, optical inputs and subwoofer output, they are the perfect match for use with tablets, smartphones, LCD Screens, Apple TV, Xbox, PlayStation and all types of computers. Here's the details in their own words...

Fluid Audio BT-series speakers have connections for all your needs. Unlike many other speakers in this and higher price ranges, C5BT and BT5 use the newest CSR BT 4.0 technology with aptX® support.  aptX® has revolutionized the Bluetooth® Stereo listening experience by significantly reducing the bit rate without affecting audio quality or introducing latency issues. With a bit-rate of 384 kbit/s @ 16/48kHz, the aptX audio codec source material is transparently delivered over the Bluetooth link, whether it is stored uncompressed or in an alternative compression (MP3, AAC, FLAC) format.

The C5BT feature 5-inch low frequency transducers and a 1-inch PEI diaphragm tweeter mounted to a specially designed waveguide to create a better off-axis response.
The top panel sports the digital volume control, Bluetooth pairing button and input selector.
The rear panel houses the round bass-reflex port and hosts balanced ¼" TRS, unbalanced RCA inputs, ¼" balanced TRS subwoofer output and optical toslink connection.
Protection features include RF interference, output current limiting, over-temperature, turn-on/off transient and subsonic filter protection.

The BT5 feature 5-inch low frequency transducers and a 1-inch treaded silk dome high frequency device with an integrated waveguide to ensure a flat response and wide dispersion.
The BT5 is revolutionary when it comes to connections. It uses 5.8GHz connection between master and slave speaker – with both speakers being separately bi-amplified. This way it gives you less cable trouble and better placement options. Master speaker takes all connections.
The top panel sports the digital volume control, Bluetooth pairing button, input selector, EQ selector and 8 LED's to show status on inputs and power.
The rear panel houses a generous heat sink and hosts an array of input options, such as USB Audio, USB 2.0 class compliant supporting 24bit / 96kHz, Optical toslink input supporting 24 bit / 96kHz, USB charging with 5V 2.1A,  balanced ¼" TRS, unbalanced RCA inputs, RCA unbalanced subwoofer output. All can be controlled with the remote control.
Protection features include RF interference, output current limiting, over-temperature, turn-on/off transient and subsonic filter protection.

The C5 BT delivers up to 97dB SPL (maximum continuous), and the BT5 supplies up to 102dB SPL. Frequency response is rated at 55Hz to 20kHz for the C5 BT and 48Hz to 22kHz for the BT5.

Pricing and Availability:
Both models are expected to be available by the end of the first quarter of 2015 with an estimated retail price of $199.95/pr. for the C5 BT and $549.95/pr. for the BT5.
