The VU800 is the next-generation version of the popular VU8. Perfect for use in broadcast, studio, live, or just about any other audio production situation, this multi-channel passive VU meter with built-in headphone monitoring is designed for use as an all-purpose visual audio level indicator.
The VU800's metering channels are completely passive and allow for 'Peak' or 'Average' metering configuration. This ensures not only that the signals remain clean and unaltered by any possible interference, but also that signal levels can be visually represented precisely as intended.
One of the more notable enhancements in the VU800 is the ability to independently configure each of the eight channels for -10dBV or +4dBu operation via rear-panel selector switches. The on-board headphone system provides convenient, user-selectable audio monitoring in channel pairs of the available eight (8) channels.
