Individual Outputs And More For The Volca Beats

US Drum sounds separated along with snare modifications      31/03/21

The Korg Volcas have been found to be highly mod-able, with MIDI outputs clearly labeled on the PCB and numerous other changes for those adventurous enough across the series. Recently, a number of designs have been shared for adding multiple outputs to the Volca Beats - separating the Kick, Snare, Tom, PCM and Hats - as well as improvements to the snare. In this video, youtuber Music With Machines shows his modded machine in action, featuring three modifications and no talking!

A complete tutorial for the output mod is available here, with a video on the 'Mark Steiner' snare modification here and a tutorial on adding MIDI Out here. It can really expand the capabilities of a device to add these kinds of mods, but as always beware of damaging your equipment and yourself if you try.
