Celemony have published a video Interview with Midge Ure. He talks about Ultravox, his work in the studio and which role Melodyne has in the process. Here's what Celemony has to say...
Midge Ure is fascinated by DNA Direct Note Access and the possibility to edit individual notes in polyphonic audio: "This isn't a piece of software, this is black magic!" His workflow today: "Now everything I do, I stick it into Melodyne and see if I can make it better".
Midge Ure has made history with the recently reunited New Wave band Ultravox and groups like Slik and Thin Lizzy, but he is also very successful as a solo artist. His 80s song "If I Was" and the Band Aid song "Do They Know It's Christmas?" have been hits all around the world.
