EMT started out making plate reverbs - they are huge and heavy, but were the only game in town, unless you had an actual reverb chamber. Then in the mid 1970s they started to create digital algorithmic reverbs.
The 245 is from 1981 and featured a remote control for some swanky centre section mounting.
EMT ceased to make reverbs in the mid 1980's but continue to make audiophile quality turntable tone arms, cartridges and phono preamps.
