We caught up with Jason from Nobular, who introduced us to the Monumatic, their latest synthesizer offering. A unique polysynth that doubles as a monosynth, the Monumatic features eight-voice full polyphony and MIDI control. It provides versatile sound creation capabilities with its 16 oscillator modes and six filter types, allowing you to process sounds through various stages.
Jason explained how the Monumatic furthers the legacy of its predecessor, the Polycinematic, adding enhanced modular integration with voltage-controlled options and a chord memory function. Among the interesting sound features demonstrated were the classic supersaw, Polymo Vox Humana preset, and a Casio-inspired phase distortion mode. Built-in effects such as reverb enrich the sound, while a customizable pulse width modulation offers further control. The Monumatic, retailing at £375/€400, is already available but currently sold out, with new stock expected soon.
