Movy is an unofficial sequencing module running on the Schwung framework that turns the 4-track Ableton Move into a powerful 16-track groovebox with an Elektron-style workflow. It expands the stock 4-track limit of the Ableton Move up to 16 independent tracks inside the Schwung shadow layer. Not only that,it brings an Elektron-Style Workflowwith parameter locks, step probability, and controlled randomness to individual steps for evolving, dynamic patterns. There are also Custom Modules and FX which grant access to extra sound generators (like Mr. Drums and Aphex) and custom audio/MIDI effects mapped directly to the hardware knobs.
What is Schwung?
Schwung is an unofficial framework for the Ableton Move. It adds a parallel ("Shadow") UI that runs alongside stock Move, letting you layer additional synths and effects and run completely new tools on top of the device you already use. Move keeps working normally -- Schwung just opens it up.

Movy: Turn Your Ableton Move Into a 16-Track Groovebox What if you could turn your Ableton Move into a powerful 16-track groovebox? In this video, I take a closer look at Movy, running on the Schwung Hack for Ableton Move. Movy completely changes the workflow of the Move. You can work with up to 16 tracks, while the knobs are already mapped to useful parameters, making the Move feel much more like a dedicated hardware instrument. The workflow reminds me a lot of Elektron instruments like the Digitakt -- you can quickly reach for the knobs, tweak parameters and shape your sounds without constantly diving through menus. One of my favorite features is Step Probability, which lets you add controlled randomness to individual steps and create evolving, less predictable patterns.
