Behringer Ship The Syncussion SY-1

US Dual channel recreation of the classic Pearl machine      03/06/24

Behringer are catching up on some of their promised releases, this time ist the SYNCUSSION SY-1 first announced in  Summer 2021.

The original Pearl SY-1 was favoured by disco acts who needed that classic disco syntom sound,  when released in the late 1970s and more recently by Aphex Twin - who seems to have used everything.

In the video promo, its certainly got some vintage drum vibes going and sounds snappy enough. And the original still seems to fetch a premium of over $600.

Key Features:

  • Dual Sound Generation Channels: Each with an oscillator and envelope generator.
  • Modulation Options: Includes LFOs, noise generators, and sample/hold functions.
  • Connectivity: MIDI and CV/Gate
  • Sound Design: Capable of producing sounds from deep kicks to high-pitched toms.
  • Trigger Inputs: Can be triggered by anything with a gate output.
