After last year's great success, Synth East is back. The event will run February 23rd - Sunday 25th.
Starting on the new introduced Friday evening slot the UK premier of a documentary on Morton Subotnik, followed by comedian and writer Adam Buxton in conversation with Steve Davis. Then an ambient set by Luke Sanger.
Saturday is the show proper with manufacturers exhibiting and performances from local artists:
Hardwired and Tristan Burfield and the all-star patch off. This year, joining Robin "Molten Modular" Vincent, Steve Davis and Gaz Williams will be Mylar Melodies, Nina Richards, and Jason Jervis. These are unique, improvised performances that you'll never see anywhere else.
Saturday night has electronic legends Blancmange performing, supported by Ultramarine with warm up from Robin Vincent.
On Sunday there Eurorack DIY workshops presented by Befaco and Thonk. Held at Electronic Sound HQ at Capital House over a few hours. The idea is that you buy a ticket for the workshop and then order the kit that you hope to build directly with Befaco or Thonk.
