We spoke to Luke from SSL at Gear Fest 2023, where he showcased their new SSL UF1 control surface. The UF1 is designed as a transport addition to SSL's 360 environment, expanding the functionality of their UF8 controller and UC1 control surface. The compact UF1 features a single motorized fader and a screen that displays various information and controls. It allows users to control fader levels, pans, mutes, sends, automation, and transport functions directly from the controller. Additionally, the UF1 comes with the SSL meter plugin, providing metering, Lissajous graphs, phase scope, BU meters, PPM meters, and RTAs. The controller connects via USB-C and can be daisy-chained with other 360 controllers. It offers full metal construction, adaptable legs, and can also function as a powered USB hub.
