NAMM 2023: Neumann - MT48

Ricardo Ryan from Merging Technologies, a Swiss company that is now part of the Sennheiser and Neumann group, showcased their new MT48 union interface at NAMM 2023. The MT48 is a high-quality device that features dual pre-amps and a 48-channel mixer built-in. It has a variety of connectivity options, including balanced XLR out, TRS balance out, AES 67, and USB data port. The MT48 also has a touch screen interface that provides access to all the mixer's channels, EQ section, dynamics, and parallel reverb. The touch  screen works standalone, but can be controlled full screen on your Mac or PC system.

The device's mic pre-amps have a dynamic range of up to 136 dB. The pre-amps also have full control features such as a triple pad, dual pad, variable low cut, and the ability to link them together. The MT48 will be available in the US for $1,850 in about a month. It's a premium interface that comes with an option of using a foot switch to change setup snapshots.
