US Neumann Home Studio Academy posts a new series of YouTube tutorials      30/08/23

Three new video tutorials with focus on various recording techniques for drums have been added to the Neumann Home Studio Academy.

The company says that the videos authentically document the sound qualities of the Neumann microphones used, as any use of EQ was deliberately avoided. A spokesperson told us, "The content is aimed at both recording novices and advanced users. With valuable tips and tricks, the Recording Drums episodes complement Neumann tutorials already published on YouTube."

The three videos are:

• Recording Drums | Part 1: Classic Three-Mic Technique
• Recording Drums | Part 2: From Mono to Stereo
• Recording Drums | Part 3: Multi-Microphone Setup

 

Neumann says that the tutorials of the Recording Drums series were produced as one-shot videos, i.e. what you see is a single take without cuts. They believe that this special stylistic device does not fail to have an effect and puts the viewer right in the middle of the action.
