Remote audio collaboration platform, Soundwhale, has introduced new updates to their application that they say will greatly improve remote work for users. Here's the details in their own words...
Ameen Abdulla, 15 year audio engineering expert and founder of Soundwhale, has focused on improving the production process for engineers utilizing remote collaboration. The pandemic threw production into limbo. In response, Abdulla worked closely with audio engineers to enhance his products and make specific improvements to connect global creators. Regions that were particularly hard struck by the pandemic, like Brazil and India, saw their users multiply tenfold.
The biggest challenge for professionals is creating audio from remote locations that's decent enough to use; Abdulla found that a few enhanced features could maximize performance quality in a remote environment:
- Updates have been implemented that allow users to receive stream from their contact, whether it be audio or video in real time, and have it be synced to the project.
- Producers can now monitor talent in sync; they can initiate playback on their end, and it will simultaneously begin playback on the talent side.
- Compatibility has been improved between macOS and iOS applications; users will now be able to to declare the 'start position' for iOS files from macOS
