MIDI Control And Live Looping For Pocket Operator KO

US Trigger hits and recordings from Teenage Engineering's pocket sampler      28/04/21

Sound Makers developer Hanz has recently created a device which takes MIDI messages and simulates button presses using small "pogo pins". The pogo pin touches the solder pad of each button when the adapter is attached and when triggered from MIDI, the pogo pins send a signal to the solder pad which simulates a button press. This MIDI control works with all models of Pocket Operator.

Hanz has recently added the ability to utilise live looping on the PO KO sampler as shown in the video above. A more detailed video on his Live Looping experiments can be found here. Below is an overview of the MIDI adapter itself:.

While the POs can be synchronised to MIDI clock, this additional control takes these excellent devices to a more accessible level in the studio. A second video of the device is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbXTfG1xFiU
