Whats new... 20/04/21
Arturia today announced their latest update for their flagship softsynth. Pigments three has updated synthesis components, effects, wavetables and more and is a FREE update to existing users.
We take a look at the new stuff (or some of it) and a listen to a few sounds. One thing that (thankfully) Arturia have not done is mess with the intuitive way that you can set up the modulation mappings with th central section providing essential visdual feedback for creating complex synthesis patches.
The update is available now free to existing Pigments owners, and 50% off at €99/$99 till May 13th.
New Features
Harmonic engine - detailed additive synthesis with up to 512 partials, dual formant filters that can be morphed from A to B, odd and even harmonic customization, and various colorful ways to modulate partials
3rd Utility engine - add a sub oscillator and up to 2 noise sample layers to Pigments' dual-engine sound for extra depth and sonic color
64 new wavetables, bringing the total to 164
Ramp waveform, for Virtual Analog engine
Jup-8 V4 Low-pass filter - the revered filter from our meticulous emulation of a polysynth icon
Enhanced filter routing - route either filter to either FX bus for detailed sound
