NAMM 2020: Roland's A-88 MK2 Is MIDI 2.0 Ready

Roland chose CES in Las Vegas to launch their new A-88 MKII MIDI controller keyboard, with you guessed it, 88 hammer action keys, USB-C connection, RGB lit controls, there are three layers/splits, two foot controller inputs the A-88 MKII is designed to be at the heart of your setup.

Obviously live players will look with interest, running computer and hardware based rigs from this should be pretty straightforward, with colour-coded rotaries and 8 pads.

Roland also tell us  "the A-88MKII is ready to take advantage of the extended capabilities of MIDI 2.0" which should be coming soon, though its not entirely clear what part of the 2.0 spec it will specifically adopt. We'll be asking those questions when we see it at NAMM.

The A-88 MKII is available March 2020 priced at $999.99
