Today Novation announced two new Launchpads for their range. The Launchpad X and the Launchpad Mini MK3 extend the capabilities of their successful range of grid controllers.

Both feature new, more sensitive pads for more expression (with RGB backlights) and four custom user modes. All can control Ableton Live clip launching, level, pan, solo and mute as well as Drum and Note modes for playing in.
In addition, there are custom user modes (4 in the X, 3 in the Mini) which retain their functionality  in memory, so you can use these with USB host mode interfaces  (both feature USB-C connections) such as the Kenton USB MIDI Host or Expert Sleepers modules- use them for CC faders, buttons, program changes etc.

All of this is configured using Novation's Components Editor.
