Soundbrenner has been in touch to tell us that they have reached US$1,000,000 in pre-orders for their highly anticipated product the Soundbrenner Core, surpassing their goal by over 1000%. The Soundbrenner Core, the new generation of Soundbrenner’s music wearables, became one of the highest-funded crowdfunding projects in the music tech industry worldwide. Here’s the story in Soundbrenner’s own words…
In less than five years, the company has now grown from a team of 5 to 25 employees, operating in 3 different continents. When the company closed its first Indiegogo project, the Soundbrenner Pulse, three years ago they've reached US$240,000 supported by more than 2,300 backers. With their newest innovation, the Soundbrenner Core, the company goes beyond attracting 4,800 backers surpassing their last project by four times. Designed as a musician’s daily companion, Core combines musical tools with a watch. Now musicians are always ready to go. In a matter of three taps, musicians can feel the beat they want to play. Not only that, Soundbrenner invented a unique twist system to include a contact tuner for string instruments.
"It is a product designed for all musicians, and we believe that this will change the way musicians practice. If it takes 10,000 hours to become a great musician we want to be there as much as we can through their journey," says Florian Simmendinger CEO of Soundbrenner. Being able to do so much more on the Soundbrenner Core, this product is a huge leap to a more simple, frictionless practice experience.

Both CEO and CTO of Soundbrenner mention that they owe their fascinating journey to thousands of backers. Other than creating a product that has practical benefits for musicians, Soundbrenner has also strived to develop a brand that is motivational and inspiring. “When I first started building innovative tools and instruments for musicians, I wanted to empower individuals to find their own musical expression. I didn't become a pro musician myself, but I was hoping that with great product function and design, I could help some to excel and master their craft" says Julien Vogels CTO of Soundbrenner. "Today, we've passed $1M in pre-orders for the Soundbrenner Core, and I am floored by the support and interest from the music community.”
