Smart MIDI Tool Generates Random Riffs

Audiomodern releases Riffer for Mac and Windows      05/10/18

Audiomodern and Plugivery Distribution have announced the release of Riffer, which they describe as an exciting new product, utilizing ground-breaking technology to generate riffs and inspire musical creation. Riffer is available now in AU and VST formats for Windows and macOS from worldwide dealers.

A spokesperson told us, "Riffer is designed to feed anything that accepts MIDI signal, Software & Hardware. You can choose from 50+ scales, set pattern complexity, steps, start and end points, pitch, transposition, motion, measures, and much more to serve as the inspiration for your musical masterpieces. Riffer allows the generation of fresh ideas, sequences, melodies, riffs and musical patterns. You can then manipulate and turn them into something of your own, or, let the software run endlessly using the infinity mode for a completely random score. Users can export the MIDI data using a simple drag and drop process to their DAWs. When using the app version, you can send MIDI over Wi-Fi, or select CoreMIDI for inter-app communication and feed any compatible hardware device."
