Yesterday saw the release of the Bright Sparks movie and album - a piece which pays homage to some of the major figures in the development of electronic music - Bob Moog, Don Buchla, Alan R Pearlman, Ken Freeman, Chamberlin and Mellotron, EDP, EMS. Originally conceived as an I Monster album, it grew into a much larger project as the interviews with industry luminaries piled up. Dave Spiers, a regular panelist on Sonic TALK was behind the movie, with a lot of historical help from Marc Doty. We talk to them about the project.
