Line 6 has introduced the new Sonic Port VX mobile audio interface, making it possible for musicians to record anytime, anywhere. They say that, featuring built-in studio-grade condenser microphones, high-quality mic preamps, and seamless compatibility with iOS, Mac and PC, Sonic Port VX lets musicians on the go capture their inspiration like never before.

Max Gutnik, VP of Products and Marketing at Line 6, told us, "With Sonic Port VX, we've expanded the Sonic Port family to allow musicians to develop ideas and record complete multi-track songs however, whenever and wherever they want. The Sonic Port family represents the next generation of professional-quality mobile recording, and Sonic Port VX is the only audio interface that puts the power of a studio into the hands of songwriters on the go."

Here's the details in Line 6's own words...

Sonic Port VX features three professional built-in mics and preamps--a stereo matched pair and a front-facing mono mic--offering best-in-class gain range and stunning clarity. Musicians can record studio-quality vocals, acoustic instruments, pianos, horn sections and more in mono or stereo to create and complete and nuanced multi-track songs.

The guitar/bass input features 120dB of dynamic range for incomparable tone and best-in-class dynamics, and a stereo line input lets users record keys, drum machines, DJ mixers and other sources. Professional-level 1/4" stereo outputs make it easily to connect studio monitors, while zero-latency monitoring lets musicians recording without distraction.

Sonic Port VX features seamless tri-platform compatibility--customers can record using an iOS device, Mac or PC. A Lightning cable connection enables iOS users to record along with Mobile POD®, GarageBand®, and other Core Audio music apps.

Sonic Port VX is also the ultimate mobile guitar interface--the free Mobile POD app offers over 10,000 presets, 32 amps, 16 stompboxes and rack effects, and 16 speaker cabinets. An intuitive user interface makes it easy for guitarists to tweak and save custom tones, and even play along with their iTunes® library.
