At last weekends Mute Short Circuit Event in London's amazing Roundhouse venue,  we were fortunate enough to catch up with Gareth Jones - the engineer who has worked on many classic albums,  startting out with John Fox's Metamatic in 1980,  Fad Gadget , Depeche Mode and U2 with a prolonged spell at the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin where he lived for several years.

We talk about the past, working methods, software and hardware plus the concept of committing to an idea - something which Gareth strongly believes in.
