The Asheville Citizen Times reports that Asheville Brewing plans to release a beer honoring the late electronic music pioneer Bob Moog.
Moog Filtered Ale will go on sale May 27 at an Orange Peel concert honoring the longtime Asheville inventor, whose keyboard synthesizer revolutionized music.
The brew is a summer ale, made with Chinook hops. After the concert, bottled and draft product will be rolled out, starting with sales at Asheville Brewing and Green Life.
National and international sales will be handled by Bruisin' Ales.
This isn't the first time Moog's name has been connected with beer.
