The SuperDrumFX (SDFX) is a software drum sampler for Windows. It is available for free download with a 13.6 MB sample library. Hereâ€™s what its maker, Denis Eismann, has to say about itâ€¦
â€œThe SDFX was mainly designed for use with an electronic drum set (e-drum). The objective of this project is to give a work-around to the sound weaknesses of the current available e-drum modules and to deliver a realistic drum sound to the interested e-drummer. Contrary to commercial software solutions, the SDFX tries to reach her goal without the use of massive gigabyte drum libraries. She achieves her goal only through the skilful use of sound shaping techniques on the basis of fewer samples. For most drum sounds the SDFX requires just two sample layer to achieve a natural sound. Using your own created drum samples does not become the patience play. The much hated "Machine Gun Effect" is also no problem for the SuperDrumFX.â€�
