The Alesis Fusion keyboard has a lot to offer the cost conscious workstation buyer. Featuring four synthesis engines: Analog modeling, FM, Sample Playback and Physical Modeling all with effects. You also get a 32 track sequencer plus 8 tracks of 24bit audio. All this can be sent out of the multiple outs. For the full details of the Fusion platform, check out our previous news items (listed at the bottom of the page). In recent months, the Fusion has received a couple of OS updates taking it to version 1.2. There’s also a regular flow of new patches available on fusionsynth.com for the Fusion owner to augment their library. We caught up with product specialist Eric MacGregor who ran us through some of the new patches.
