Roland SP-404 Portable Sampler Ships

The new SP-404 Portable Power Sampler takes up from where the 303 left off and comes with more of well, everything really. The new sleek silver look is new to the SP family, and it surpasses its predecessor by offering battery-power compatibility, a CompactFlash slot, and a built-in microphone for quick, sampling sessions. The SP-404 samples at 44.kHz/16bit and stores on PC compatible Compact Flash cards. The samples and the live stereo input can also be processed by the 404's real-time effects:
Subsonic, BPM Looper,DJFX Looper, reverb, flanger, delay, Voice Transformer, distortion, filter, Slicer, Isolator, Vinyl Simulator, and more. Sequencing is handled by the SP-404’s onboard pattern sequencer and allows up to 8,000 notes to be recorded. Up to 24 patterns, each 1–99 measures long, can be stored in the internal memory simultaneously. An additional 96 patterns can be saved on CompactFlash cards.
