"This marks the first time that an integrated suite of software and hardware products is available on a next generation operating system," says Dr Gerhard Lengeling, Chief Developer at Emagic, "and is a milestone in the development of computer-assisted audio and music production." There's still a few issues to bear in mind before trashing your old 9.x installation though, the most important being good 'ol VST plugins - not all manufacturers having recompiled their code to run under the OS X 'Core Audio' standard.
