Audio plugin developer Labris DSP has announced itself with the release of the LX20 resynthesis plugin. The company says that they are setting out to provide innovative DSP effects for artists, sound designers and musicians. A spokesperson told us, "From fast UI interaction to innovative signal processing, Labris DSP's plugins prioritize real-time performance, creativity and experimentation."
Here's more on the LX20 in Labris DSP's own words...
Create everything from soaring leads, glistening pads to heavy bass lines. The LX20 dynamically resynthesizes timbre from any audio signal in real-time, demonstrating Labris DSP's novel signal processing algorithms in an entirely unique effect.
For additive synthesis, soft clipped waveshaping sculpts any signal into sawtooth, square and sub-octave waveforms for classic analog oscillator timbres. Unlike conventional waveshapers, LX20's voice is free of intermodulation distortion and can shape every tone in a polyphonic signal.
For subtractive synthesis, the analog modeled filter section covers everything from resonant filter sweeps to punchy bass lines. The variable 2-4 pole cutoff slope, resonance and AD envelope parameters allow for a wide range of tonal possibilities. With advanced transient detection and dynamic key tracking, full polyphony is achieved with discrete filter envelopes for every note.
Pricing and Availability:
The LX20 is available now for macOS with an introductory price of $29.99.
