The Vox Continental Organ was the stalwart of many classic sounds of the 1960s, with the drawbars and reedy sound it was a different flavour to the Hammond's fruity tones, being transistor based rather than tonewheel. It was also orange which made it really stand out, and more affordable and portable. Bit of a win all round.
Vox have just announced a Vox Continental for the 21st Century, featuring the same red colour but with a more fulsome set of sounds, obviously the classic Continental, the CX-3 plus 8 electro mechanical sound sets.
