Novation's Launchpad Pro, as well as working closely with Ableton's Live, adds MIDI I/O to increase integration with other MIDI gear.

MIDI i/o is available on dedicated minijack MIDI connectors, making it more stand alone. Chris talks about integration with MAX for Live and more interestingly the notion of an open firmware, allowing for a greater degree of user customization.

Still early days, but in this demo, Chris shows us some initial possibilities.

Novation Launchpad Pro ships April, priced around £225 street.
