As requested, ew returned to the Behringer stand for a listen to the Poly Eight, a Polysix-style synth with an expanded eight-voice architecture.
Its got a single oscillator with Saw, Triangle and pulse waveforms, manual pulse width and pulse-width modulation, plus a sub oscillator. The filter has the expected low-end drop when the resonance is pushed, and modulation comes from an LFO and a single envelope generator. The panel also includes VCF, VCA attenuator, arpeggiator, key assign modes and a control section.
Built-in effects include chorus and phaser, although the output is mono. It also includes unison, split mode, chord memory and mono aftertouch. No pricing or availability information is available yet.
