Alctron is not a brand name that might be familiar to us, but they've been manufacturing microphones and related items for over 20 years, and have quite a portfolio of products. Sophie from gave us a look at several new items, starting with a professional tube mic (which bears more than a passing resemblance to a classic U47, innit). It comes with a lunchbox type PSU and uses a 35mm capsule made in-house. Polar patterns cover omni through figure-eight.
We also heard about the JC-37 range, which has FET and tube versions, using a 32mm large-diaphragm capsule.
The final product was a new version of a four-channel headphone amplifier. It supports RCA and TRS inputs, mono and stereo modes, and includes a mic input for studio communication. Each channel has individual control and metering, with 6.35mm TRS and 3.5mm headphone outputs.
