We spoke to Angel about new SE Electronics products, including the KLS-150 monitoring headphones and the V8 Series handheld microphones.
The KLS-150 is a closed-back professional monitoring headphone, newly launched globally in October. It uses clear left and right markings, with red indicating the right side, so orientation remains visible in darker environments. A physical bass control on the headphone changes the low-end response in stepped clicks. The standard setting is plus three, and the control adjusts for different monitoring, stage, PA or DJ use cases.
The V8 Series is the company's new handheld dynamic vocal microphone range and follows the V7 after around 10 years. It comes in V8 Black and V8 Graphic Gray finishes. The mics use a supercardioid pattern, and capsule versions fit Shure or Sennheiser wireless systems.
Pricing mentioned was $149 for the KLS-150, with Chinese pricing for the V8 models listed at 1899 and 2299 RMB.
The VR1 ribbon microphones also received a bit of a shout-out - we've used a pair in the Sonic studios for years, and they sound great (Nick used them as the main mics to the record the 'Archimedes Screw' piece for the Will Gregory Moog Ensemble)
