We spoke to Kung from ADAM Audio about the H715 their new premium-grade open-back headphone which includes software integration alongside the hardware.
The H715 is an open-back design with removable earpads, headband parts and cable. It comes with 'Standard' and 'Hi-Fi' modes, and the control software includes Headphone Utility, where you can select different earpad materials and headphone models, including the earlier H200.
The externalization section simulates natural room sound for headphone monitoring. It uses cross-feed between left and right channels to create a more natural stereo image for mixing reference.
Listen Hub runs as standalone software and also works as a plug-in. It can host plug-ins in the signal chain, and Headphone Utility can run inside Listen Hub. Two pad materials are available, with matching software profiles. Price is around $700.
