MusicChina26: Monitors & DAC/Controller from Auraphon

Kai from Aurophon gave us a look at Massive 3 & Massive 5, a pair of new active speakers at Music-China26. The range comes in 3-inch and 5-inch versions, with passive radiators on both sides and balanced and unbalanced connections.

Each model uses a ribbon tweeter with specific tuning, so the top end remains softer while still retaining high-frequency detail.

We also heard about a new DAC with monitor-controller functions. It includes analogue, USB-C, optical and Bluetooth inputs, push selection for input switching, A/B monitor selection, mute, and a strong headphone amp. The DAC runs at up to 32-bit/192kHz and is class-compliant.

Aurophon also has the more affortable PS3 speaker system, with one powered unit linking a passive speaker. It includes balanced and unbalanced inputs, USB-C, Bluetooth, a soft-dome tweeter, a paper cone, and multiple colour options. Availability has just started through local dealers.
