MusicChina26: DADAO Audio - Mic mounting and Multi-Channel Recording

We spoke to Yikai from DADAO Audio at M-China26 about two very different product categories - the first was a series of specialised mounting options for microphones, from a simple stereo bar, to complex multi-mic spacial arrays - the second was a software solution for robust multi-channel audio recording.

The XD2 connects a microphone to a horizontal bar, with a central opening that allows it to slide for positioning, direction and spacing. Its microphone end supports rotation, and the system can be configured for Decca Tree, OCT and other complex microphone arrays. XD3 connects two horizontal bars at right angles, with XD1, XD2 and XD3 also forming immersive arrays for surround or sky-channel recording.

The new AB stereo microphone bar features independently rotatable ends and adds a 3/8-inch thread to the microphone adjuster knobs. It allows XD1 units to attach for closely spaced suspended microphone setups while retaining compatibility with standard microphone stands.


Record Saver Pro supports reliable multitrack location recording with up to 256 channels, sample rates up to 384 kHz, network audio recording, markers, scheduled recording and a pre-record buffer.

It runs on macOS only and costs 3,299 RMB.
