Beijing 26: Modular Commune Pre-show Walkabout

Nick was given a pre-show tour of the Modular Commune 2026 event in Beijing by organisers Tami X and Alex, covering the performance spaces, expo areas, workshops and immersive audio setup.

The event is now in its third international edition and has grown well beyond its earlier scale, now running across three days, with performances, masterclasses, an expo and afterparties. The expo spans two floors, with around 90 exhibitors, including overseas modular companies, Chinese distributors, factories and more than 20 local indie developers. The event is free to attend, and indie developer tables are provided free.
