UVI Introduces UVI Player & UVI Builder Platform

US UVI Workstation becomes UVI Player. Builder Platform opens technology to partner brands      15/10/26

UVI has announced that UVI Workstation has become UVI Player. They say that the new name says exactly what the software does: open, explore, and play UVI instruments with ease. Its core remains the trusted host that producers rely on, and now, it plays UVI soundware and Falcon Expansions.

UVI has also launched UVI Builder Platform, which they say opens the powerful technology behind Falcon to partner brands. Their instruments play in both Falcon and the free UVI Player, helping partners reach a wider audience, and giving musicians even more to explore.

Here's more details direct from the company...

WHAT IS UVI PLAYER?
UVI Player delivers everything needed to perform, layer, and shape sounds with UVI soundware instruments. Users can easily add studio-grade effects, trigger intricate arpeggiations, and navigate their entire library through a modern browser with tags, search, favorites, and instant audio previews. Alongside UVI's own libraries, it plays UVI-Powered instruments from partners such as Acousticsamples and VI Labs. It works as a standalone application or within any DAW, and includes the UVI Starter soundpack of 50 hand-crafted presets to begin creating immediately.

WHAT'S NEW IN UVI PLAYER?
Every Falcon Expansion now plays exactly as designed in the free UVI Player, a direct path to Falcon's sound without a Falcon license. When you're ready to go deeper, the same Expansions open in Falcon, giving you access to every layer, oscillator, modulator, and script.

The update also brings a redesigned browser with unified styling across Library, FX, and Multi views, a new Single/Multi toggle with Save as Default Multi, and an improved mixer with mute/solo and VU metering. Existing libraries and licenses remain unchanged, and no action is required from current UVI Workstation users.

THE UVI BUILDER PLATFORM
The UVI Builder Platform gives partner brands the engine behind Falcon, combining deep sampling and synthesis with effects, modulators, and Lua scripting. UVI take care of compatibility, copy protection, and deployment through UVI Portal, so partners can focus on sound and reach their audiences faster. Terms are simple: accessible pricing, quarterly payments, no upfront costs, and no encoding fees. For musicians, that means more instruments from more brands, all playable in Falcon and the free UVI Player.
