Sequential Circuits Studio 440

US Chunky electro goodness on rare machine      14/09/26

A new piece of equipment to me, but nevertheless, incredibly impressive! The Sequential Circuits Studio 440 is a 12 Bit sampler, sequencer, and 32 sound drum machine released in 1986 by Smith's Sequential Circuits (SCI) - with only around 500 ever made! This short video does more than enough to pique our interest, with a seriously choppy, chunky and energy-laden pattern, seemingly creating the epitome of pure electro ! The sampler's core is similar to that of the Prophet 2000 and Prophet 2002, with a 3.5" floppy disk drive to store samples and data.
