Naturl Audio Updates AL-1 Limiter - TPL and more

US Introduces Engine 2 and True Peak Limiting      03/09/26

The AL-1 Limiter from Naturl Audio created quite a stir when it was introduced just recently in March '26, and there's already a brand new update in response to user feedback, which introduces a second audio Engine 2, and a host of other tweaks and improvements, such as True Peak Limiting.

  • New limiting algorithm - lowers harmonic and intermodulation distortion and reduces aliasing, aiming to preserve more of the source while letting you push level further.
  • True Peak Limiting - expands AL-1 into compliance-focused mastering, post and broadcast deliveries where true peak control is required.
  • Interface refresh - higher contrast and refined visuals make meters and controls easier to read without adding clutter.
  • Faster workflow - frequently used controls are pulled out of menus for quicker access and fewer clicks.
  •

If you're mastering, mixing loud or preparing audio for broadcast/streaming specs, this puts AL-1 in play as a transparent, pushable limiter. In post, it should sit at the end of the chain to manage true peaks without reshaping the mix.

The update is available now, with downloads and a free trial on the site.
