US Accurately scratch your samples      02/09/26

Superstar DJs, here we go - a perfect way to replicate any scratch in your DAW, courtesy of TurnTableSaw. Using a volume and pitch section - similar to automation in your DAW, it's time to design your perfect scratch - with plentiful examples in the video and all kinds of scratches available to reference elsewhere. Here are the timestamps to give you an idea of what to expect...

Here we have a walkthrough of the plugin by Armory Audio, and more details below..

Don't skratch yourself.

TurnTableSaw is a digital DJ scratching instrument for the modern music producer. With a bank of 32 multi-envelope, highly customizable pattern slots and 4 sample slots, you can finally create your own skratches from scratch.

Version 1.1 is here--new features, parameters, expanded banks, and quality of life improvements make TurnTableSaw even sharper (more info below).

At your disposal:

The TurnTableSaw, a fearsome machine that leverages samples and patterns to create sick, twisted noises. Patterns consist of a record envelope and a fader envelope, which control sample playback and volume respectively. These patterns can be synced to host BPM, adjusted to any length, and contain limitless nodes... the possibilities frighten me.

Robust envelope editor--drag and group nodes, resize, duplicate, and change their corner softness, use subdivision snapping, and even group-select nodes across both envelopes for precise edits

NEW: Segment Bank--directly copy and paste common scratch shape segments for on-the-fly use, and save your favorite custom shapes for easy re-use

NEW: Expanded Pattern Bank--use up to 32 pattern slots for much more complex projects and live performances patches

'Cut' tool for quickly creating envelope plateaus--great for fader cuts

'Drop' tool for making perfect drop scratches--highlight a section of the saw envelope to create a line segment that plays the selected sample at 100% rate, regardless of current BPM, sync mode, and sample length

Sample editor--you can simply load in a file from your system or a preset, then dial in the crop points to isolate the perfect sound

NEW: 'Spread' parameter for introducing random variance to the length of your samples, allowing for quick humanization of repeated scratch patterns

'Release' parameter for more realistic live performances--adjust the Release time to change how long the saw record takes to return to the origin after note-off, making live scratching sound fluid and realistic

'Stretch' parameter for on-the-fly playback rate adjustment, adding off-the-cuff bends and quirks wherever you like

'Momentum' wheels--each envelope has its own adjustable momentum wheel, which smooths out angular cuts and corners to create a looser feel at higher values, lending a more human feel

NEW: Dozens of presets of classic & experimental scratch patterns, segments, samples, and patches

A cool looking interface that will motivate you to make some cool music
