Funktion One: Speakers That Changed The Dancefloor

Here's a unique look at Funktion One Sound Systems, founded in 1992 by Tony Andrews and John Newsham. They're highly regarded designers and manufacturers of high quality loudspeaker systems, with numerous patents to their name - and speakers in some of the worlds most revered dancefloors. They founded Turbosound in the 1970s, and are accredited with several generations of revolutionary loudspeaker designs, as well as their pioneering work and ethos. Here is Tony Andrews speaking for a Ted Talk on Bad Sound...

A nice story of the company, it's inception and ethos...

If you spot a Funktion One on a dancefloor you know you're in for a good night, so in todays video i break down what makes them so special.

Most audio in the video i created, the only other song used is Obon Fog - The Mini Vandals at the 9 min 40 mark :) (Yes i even fake overdubbed the old phone recordings)
