Of all the audio plugins we've seen over the years, Glitch and Glitch 2 have been amongst the most recognizable - visually and sonically. Heard in thousands of productions, the influential Glitch2 is now free in memory of it's creator Kieran Foster aka dblue / illformed who sadly passed away last month. An integral part of the Renoise team, there is a memorial on the Glitch2 page and a thread on the Renoise forum as well. Here's more...
As illformed he blessed us with his vision and talent manifest as his Glitch legacy, making an atomic impact on electronic music confined by no genre, resting on no trendwhorism. His innovation and curiosity and the chaos of randomness his work creates will fascinate all of us and inspire all of us and surprise all of us forever.
As dblue he showed up for Renoise. For taktik, and for the users and the makers. We will be haunted by his helpfulness, his kindness, and his funny reactions in the forum forever. dblue made fantastic music and shared willingly with us, often. sharing not just his music, but how he made it, why he made it, and how we can make our own music better, always ready to collaborate and critique for his friends and fellow musicians.
More on Glitch2
Glitch is an audio effect plugin for Windows (VST2 and VST3, 64bit), Mac (VST2, VST3 and AU - Intel 64bit and Apple Silicon) and Linux (VST2 and VST3, 64bit). Featuring a new and improved sequencer which can play multiple effects simultaneously, with the ability to trigger unique scenes from every note on your keyboard, Glitch can be as gentle or as brutal as you like.
Add the occasional splash of retrigger or stretcher to single hits within your drum loop, or fill the entire sequencer with random effect blocks for a totally chaotic trip down the digital rabbit hole... the choice is yours!
