Expressive E Noisy 2.6: New Engines, Effects And Presets
US
5 new engines, 1400 new presets 23/07/26
Expressive E, the company behind Osmose and Touché, has released Noisy 2.6, expanding its noise-through-resonance synth across analog, acoustic, FM, harmonic and wavetable territory while keeping the performance-first workflow. Presets are built to react to gesture, aftertouch, MPE and automation rather than sit static in a mix.
Engines: New Unison, FM, FM Feedback, Harmonics and Wave Map options join the existing Analog and Acoustic resonators.
Effects & Mod: 9 new effects, 5 additional noise sources and a new LFO shape.
Library: 1,400 presets, split into 650 MPE and 750 MIDI-focused patches.
Expression: Per-note MPE control; for standard keyboards, mappings via velocity, aftertouch, mod and automation.
Controllers: Works with Osmose, Touché, MPE controllers and traditional MIDI keyboards.
Workflow: Shape, play and animate sounds so they remain dynamic in a DAW or on stage.
Noisy's approach is that pressure, movement and controller data become part of the timbre. The addition of FM and harmonic tools alongside analog-style and acoustic resonators broadens it from mallet-like and stringy tones to evolving pads and modern digital textures. It certainly works well - we gave Noisy our best software award at Superbooth 2025. It integrates well with MPE controllers.
Available now: free update for all Noisy 2 owners. Intro price for new users is €89 / $89 (40% off), returning to €149 / $149 after the offer.
