Details Released For 11th Bejing Modular Commune Event

The synth-focussed festival is moving to  Creative Square in Beijing's 798 Art District on October 23-25, 2026, marking its 11th year and a move to a bigger, art-museum-spec space.

• Three days across multiple stages, with hundreds of live modular performances spanning techno, ambient, audio-visual and Dolby Atmos sets.
• New venue: Creative Square in the 798 Art District, described as a purpose-built art space designed to international museum standards. The move is pitched as a step up in size and facilities over previous editions.
• Programme beyond the gigs: workshops, DIY workshops, afterparties and master classes covering instrument building, modular live technique and more.
• Master Class hosts confirmed so far are Eric Schlappi and An On Bast, with more to follow.
• Pricing: Free ENTRY.

Modular Commune has run for over a decade and is a festival dedicated to musical performances and expo for synthesizers,
modular, and other electronic musical instruments.. If you build, perform with, or are curious about hardware modular, this is one of the few places that puts live patching, DIY and hands-on teaching on the same bill rather than treating modular as a sideshow to a club night.

The Dolby Atmos and audio-visual stages suggest the spatial and performance side is getting extra attention this year.
