In this PatchFLIP, Matt (MATTHS) pairs the Embodme Erae II expressive controller and looper with the new Erae Sound synth engine.
The two integrate fully, so loading a preset delivers a matching Erae II layout with no mapping needed. You can also build custom layouts with sliders, buttons, and XY pads.
The hardware feels solid, has a swappable touch surface, eight layout presets, a looper, arpeggiator, jog wheel, and a thin rear panel with 12 CV outputs that split for gate and CV, SD card standalone use, MIDI and USB.
Erae Sound is a virtual analogue synth engine with dual oscillators with filters, generators for through-zero FM and wave folding, four envelopes, four LFOs, a pressure curve, and a chainable effects page.
Matt shows the FM, wave folding, reverb, and serial effects routing and more.
Both products are available now.
Erae Sound costs £69/$89, the Erae II is on sale at £689/$899, available direct and possibly through retailers.
