At Superbooth 2026, Francois from Shakmat presented the Queens Court a stereo VCA matrix mixer. It offers extensive routing options, accommodating four stereo inputs and outputs with three additional auxiliary inputs. The design allows for unique routing of various tracks like drums, basslines, and more to different outputs such as speakers or effect pedals. You can assign multiple routing points to VCA groups, enabling complex configurations like master fade-outs and individual track effects like reverb.
The versatility extends to its mute mode and preset functionalities, incorporating MIDI, CV, and trigger controls for dynamic preset recalls. Key features include individual gain adjustments, auto-pan capabilities, and an LFO for modulation. The system also supports stereo or dual mono configurations and can be expanded with additional modules. Available by the end of the year, the C8X is priced approximately at 500 Euros, and the complete system, including expanders, is expected to be under 1,000 Euros.
