At Superbooth 2026 the focus remains firmly on synthesizers and modular gear, but the atmosphere of the event continues to be shaped just as much by its unusual location -- a former East German sports complex now used as a children's center. The mix of outdoor spaces, concrete halls, and smaller rooms gives the show a more relaxed and personal feel than many traditional trade events. One practical improvement this year was the clearer separation between quieter headphone demo areas and speaker-based rooms, which made it easier to actually spend time with instruments. Beyond the gear itself, another noticeable factor is the sheer number of companies -- both large and small -- using Kickstarter and similar platforms to gauge interest and reduce manufacturing risk before committing to full production. Yep, Superbooth is very special.
